Description

SCOPE OF WORK Maintenance & Support Contract for CareFusion Pulmonary Function Tester (PFT) Scope of Contract: The contractor shall provide remote and on-site technical support and maintenance services for the CareFusion VMax Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) unit in-use by the Respiratory Department at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System (VACIHCS) in Des Moines, Iowa. The PFT unit is used to by physicians to accurately diagnose and prescribe treatments for patients in support of VA Mission and Facility objectives. The absence of this device directly affects patient care to our veteran population. Four major components make up the PFT. A 229E Respirator Analyzer, MS-APS Nebulizer, V62J Body Box Cabin, ERGO150P Ergometer. The intent is for a Base + Four Option Year, Firm Fixed Price contract. Requirements: The Contractor Shall Provide: All replacement/exchange service parts, components, and Vmax modules,. On-site Preventive Maintenance (PM) is not required for this equipment, and therefore shall not be included as a regularly scheduled service; but should be available at the Government s request. Unlimited replacement of patient breathing circuit components (flow sensor, sensor cables, breathing valves, sample lines, breathing hoses and caps, and diaphragms. Consumables such as dilution masks, mouth pieces, nose clips, filters, and gases are not included. All replacement/exchange service parts and components needed for repairs. Remote support services/connectivity for maximum system uptime. One (1) replacement O2 Cell, per twelve (12) month period. Software updates, including revisions to the originally purchased version of Vmax Operating Software and tutorials at no additional charge. Software updates, including upgrades or revisions to the next version of Vmax Operating software and tutorials when they become available, Windows Operating Software, related hardware (computer and printer) when required for compatibility with the software upgrade. Unlimited parts replacements and coverage for the computer, printer, and associated components. Preferred Technical Support Assistance available during duty hours. Contractor Responsibilities: Meet the Government s service schedule date. Must be qualified and authorized to provide service and maintenance on CareFusion PFTs, using only CareFusion parts. Submit Site Reports and Maintenance forms to the Government for any/all work performed.
