- Specification Requirements: Finish: Housing must be constructed of an all steel 4160 Drawn-Over-Mandrel (DOM) tubing with powder coated black finish. 1. Weight limit under: 50 lbs. 2. Height limit: 20# 3. Base Plate limit: 14# X 14# 4. Manual Control Trigger Device with Firing Cable System (25ft) 5. Rechargeable Batteries 12V (2 ea.) with Battery Charger 6. Operators Manual 7. Spare Ignition Plug 8. Gas Hoses with Quick-Connect Fittings (1 oxygen, 1 propane and 25ft gas hoses) 9. Warranty Minimum of 12 months from date of receipt. 10. Remote Control (RSS2) This simulator unit must be a self-contained unit capable of providing a realistic simulated common battle field noise i.e. the sound of a Simulated Artillery Shell, Mortar Fire, Demolition, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and Mine Explosion. The unit must be capable of creating a cycle rate of 1 blast every 3-5 seconds with a sustainment rate of 60 minutes. The unit designed purpose is to show the consequences of Military Personnel not properly reacting to Artillery Shell attack or Explosive Hazards (EH). The device must operate on the oxygen-propane principle with gases metered through solenoid valves with a timing device initiating a spark in the gas filled chamber to cause the explosion. This unit must be capable of providing a very robust blast wave and flash when operated exceeding 120 decibels at a minimum. The unit must be constructed of an all steel 4160 Drawn-Over-Mandrel (DOM) tubing. The controls are required to be mounted in water resistance housing on the side with provisions to mount a remote control unit on the exterior of the control box. The device must have a built in carrying handle on the top of device allowing for easy transport. Power source must be provided via an external 12V rechargeable battery that sits on the base plate for easy access and change out. The device must be capable of being activated via a manual control trigger device with a minimum 25# foot cable system or a remote control (RSS2) unit with the capability to operating in a 2 channel mode.
