- chart of items, quantity and temperature required Background: The Bacteriology Department at NAMRU-6 in Lima Peru, has a requirement for Microbiological Antibiotic for the "Epidemiology and characterization of bacterial pathogens associated with wound infections in Perú and Colombia" and the "Global Travelers Diarrhea (GTD) studies: an evaluation of study design and laboratory methodologies standardization in a multisite protocol assessing the epidemiology and etiology of acquired diarrhea Place of Delivery: NAMRU-6 - Lima Peru - Airport FOB If capable sources are not identified through this notice, then NAMRU 6 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) to Becton Dickinson del Uruguay Sucursal Perú for the requirements of NAMRU-6. NAMRU-6 has been using these antibiotics microbiological for all the GTD Studies, and the assays are standardized. The antibiotics microbiological are required for continuity. Becton Dickinson del Uruguay Sucursal Perú is BD sole representative has the entire set of antibiotic that we need which ensures standardization of results across multiple sites. Materials for them are standardized allowing the Bacteriology Department to maintain appropriate QA/QC for these Assays. Becton Dickinson del Uruguay Sucursal Perú guarantees the temperature-handling and provide Door to Door delivery and also provide the items with the proper expiration dates that must match with the protocols and surveillance timing. This pre-solicitation is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work. Capability statements shall not exceed 5 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source contract. Capability statements are due by 12:00 PM Local Time, June 17th, 2017.
