- This announcement serves as a Sources Sought Notice issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice a Request for Proposals (RFP). This notice should not be construed as a commitment by DLA Troop Support for any purpose. The purpose for this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the resources to support this requirement. The Government will NOT pay for an information submitted by respondents in response to this source sought notice. If a solicitation or solicitations would result, it/they would be synopsized on the FedBizOpps website and it would the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for any such notices. DLA Troop Support is conducting market research seeking to identify possible manufacturers that can supply an item similar to NSN: 4420-01-478-5698, manufactured by Johnson Controls Navy Systems ( 66935) Interested contractors are requested to review the item description carefully to identify any potential manufacturing challenges and formulate any questions. The intent of this Source Sought Notice is to gather information that will identify sources for the possibility of a solicitation for the reference item under a large or long term contract.
