Description
*** This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award.*** The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources capable of providing Healthcare Housekeeping and related services for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Honolulu, HI. The mission of the Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) is to provide world class medicine to the military personnel and their families in safe, clean, and aesthetically-pleasing medical treatment facilities (MTFs). The medical center complex consists of an eleven-story hospital and four out-patient clinic buildings. The eleven-story hospital includes 12 Operating Rooms (OR) suites, one special procedure room, 11 Labor and Delivery (L&D) rooms, 2 L&D OR Suites and 194 total beds. Clinics and services include emergency department, laboratory, obstetrical/gynecology, ophthalmology/optometry, orthopedics, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychiatry and radiology. The command suite and other administrative support functions such as: outpatient records, outpatient pharmacy, admissions and dispositions, primary care unit, and specialty care clinics which are located within the complex. TAMC employs over 2,692 civilian personnel and over 1,785 military personnel. There are 46 additional MTFs in the Health Service Area (HSA) of the US Army Garrison - Hawaii. These include E Wing Veteran's Administration (VA), the Dialysis area in 4G Wing that is adjacent to the main hospital, the Ambulatory Care Clinic, the Center for Aging, and the VA parking structure. TAMC and the multiple MTFs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JC). The estimated quantity for TAMC is 1,509,875 Square Feet (SF). There may be additional SF for newly constructed buildings or building expansions that will require services as they are completed. Description of Services: The contractor shall furnish all personnel, training, labor, equipment, tools, supplies, management, administration, and services, necessary to perform healthcare housekeeping services at all geographically-dispersed MTFs as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) except for those items specified as government furnished property and services. Healthcare housekeeping cleaning services include: cleaning services; exterior building services (e.g. windows, doors, walkways); collection and removal of general waste (trash); removal of recycle; collection and transport of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW); and collection, transport, and distribution of linen. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 561720 and the annual size standard in millions of dollars is $18. The agency is seeking industry information and comments from sources with capabilities to perform the contract and with relevant experience in all of the functional areas mentioned above. Interested parties shall complete and submit the attached Market Research Questionnaire and Experience Reporting Form to the Government.
