Description

MARKET SURVEY ANNOUNCEMENT 1. Introduction/Purpose The FAA has a requirement for a small business contractor to provide technical support services to the NextGen Portfolio Management & Technology Development Office in its efforts to develop and expedite the delivery of new technologies and operational concepts to the National Airspace System (NAS) required to meet the NextGen vision. Interested vendors must address the following: 1.Demonstrate your ability to provide immediate service to prevent a break in operational support. 2.Demonstrate your ability to provide program management support to the contract. 3.Demonstrate your ability to provide graphics, technical writing and information management support to assist the Directorate in coordinating information management research across several program offices and lines of business in the FAA. In addition, interested vendors must demonstrate your ability to provide planning analysis to the Information Management Office (IM) to support the various aspects of information management in the NAS. 4.Demonstrate your ability to analyze concepts for research and development projects to improve capabilities in the National Airspace System (NAS), particularly in the areas surface trajectory based operations and integration of air traffic management scheduling systems. The period of performance for this requirement is one base year with four options years, beginning August 1, 2017. 2. Nature of Competition At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA ™s 8(a) Program. 4. Standard Language (a)This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; (b)The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c)The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and (d)Any costs associated with the market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor ™s expense 5. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code The NAICS codes projected for the procurement includes: 541330Engineering Services 519130Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals 6. Submittal Requirements for Market Survey Responses to this market survey must include a description of the vendor ™s technical expertise and experience in previously meeting similar requirements. Responses must not exceed 10 pages in length. In addition, the attached business declaration form must be completed and included in the response. 7. Delivery of Submittals Responses to this market survey and questions specifically about the market survey should NOT be directed to any other part of the FAA, but to the Contracting Officer named below.
