- Contract Number: SP3300-17-C-5001 Notice Type: Special Notice The US Government intends to extend an existing contract on a sole source basis to URS Federal Services, Inc., to provide Hazardous Materials Management Services for the Fleet Readiness Centers located at three separate DLA Aviation sites at Cherry Point, NC, Jacksonville, FL, and North Island, CA. The proposed contract action will extend the performance period of Contract SP3300-17-C-5001 by 90 days in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-8. The statutory authority for this action is contracting by Other than Full and Open competition, 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The estimated dollar value of this action is $5.1 million for the period of performance of 28 May 2017 through 27 August 2017. The current contract and the extension provides essential Hazardous Materials Management Services to support and perform the full range of Hazardous Materials (HM) requirements for DLA at specified locations which includes providing HM products and management services as a Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider, standardizing and lowering the cost of procurement, receipt, storage, issue, tracking reuse, and disposal of HM. This effort includes complete supply chain management to include procurement and ordering materials for DLA customers.
