Description
Questions and answers from 19 April site visit. A Site visit was conducted on 19 April 2017. Please see below or in the attachment for the questions and answers. 1. Question: Statement Of Work (SOW) states "to coordinate with Mr. Holbert which CRAC unit and which compressor are to be replaced." Will the Government also be scheduling the removal of the thirteen (13) compressors or will the contractor have the ability to schedule such CRAC unit removal? Answer: The removal and installation of the compressors will be done as one item. This means that the refrigerant will be removed, the old compressor removed, the new compressor install (the dryer can be removed and installed in any order after the refrigerant has been removed) (the contactor can be removed and new one installed at any time between turning the unit off and turning it back on), new compressor installed. The location will be decided by Mr. Holbert. One day notice for coordination is necessary when working in classified areas. On units that have two compressors to be replaced if the contractor wishes they may remover both and replace both at the same time. On the units where there is on one compressor to be removed they will be done one at a time. If we are working in more than one area (differentrooms) more than one compressor can be worked on. 2. Question: SOW does not detail any instructions in regards to the disposal of the removed CRAC units. Can the Government please define the disposal instructions in regards to removal, to include on-site or off-site disposal? Answer: The CRAC units are not being replaced only compressors. It will be vhe responsibility of the contractor to dispose all items. 3. Question: It appears the solicitation documents do not include detailed proposal instructions. Is email an acceptable method for proposal submittal Answer: Please submit in acccordance with the solicitation terms and conditions via email to SSgt Cody Benjamin. He may be reached at cody.benjamin@us.af.mil.
