Description

This notice is prepared in accordance with (IAW) FAR 5.207 and is not a request for quote (RFQ). RFQ number 674-17-Q-0646 is assigned for tracking purposes only. This is a notice of the Government's intent to award a firm-fixed price contract to Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, Inc., GSA Contract GS07F9298S on a sole source basis for the purchase of the Intrusion Detection System. The Intrusion Detection System is to be installed in various locations throughout the Temple and Waco VA facilities. The Intrusion Detection System is a commercial item IAW FAR 2.101 and is to be intergraded with the Physical Access Control System (PACS). Period of Performance will begin at award through delivery. Set Aside: Pursuant to FAR 8.405-6, an Urgent and Compelling need exists, and following procedures would result in unacceptable delays and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Under the authority of the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA), 41 U.S.C 2304(d)(1)(B). The Contracting Officer has determined that there is not a reasonable expectation of obtaining offers from two or more responsible small business concerns; therefore the small business set-aside is dissolved. Anticipated date of award: On or about April 24, 2017.
