- 33 1 DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT For 2337 Document Number: 636-13-1-2301-0019 1. Scope of Work (SOW): The C&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required The vendor shall furnish an Capsular Endoscopic system with the following characteristics: Clinical Capabilities: Real-time viewer is a handheld device that enables real-time viewing during a capsule procedure A sensor belt that is worn around the patient s waist over clothing. It employs easy-fasten straps for quick adjustment and removal. The sensors incorporated within the belt eliminate the need for inconvenient adhesive sensor sleeves and reduce patient prep time and equipment maintenance. A small portable recording device that communicates with the capsules as the capsule passes through the GI tract. The recorder is placed in the recorder pouch which is attached to the sensor belt and worn around the patient s waist. After the procedure the data is downloaded from the recorder for physician review Software to support capsule endoscopy to include: Thumbnail comparison feature Collage view for capsule Backward compatibility with previous capsule software Workstation: Specification Minimum Recommended CPU Intel ® Core 2 Duo AMD equivalent Intel ® Core 2 Quad or above OS (Operating System) Windows ® XP SP3 and above, 32-bit Windows ® 7 SP1 and above, 32 & 64 bit RAM 1 GB 3 GB for 32-bit OSs 6 GB for 64-bit OSs Disk Space 1 GB for software 10 GB available for data Screen (color and aspect ratio / resolution) 24-bit color: 4:3 / 1024 x 768 16:9 / 1366 x 768 16:10 (8:5) / 1280 x 800 32-bit color Removable Media DVD-ROM DVD-RW 24-bit color: 3. Installation/Training: a) Provide on-site installation and set-up of the unit by a manufacturer trained representative b) Provide user in-service to multiple VA employees c) Provide 2 Copies of user manual and 1 copy of service manual 2. Reporting Requirements: 2.1. Upon arrival at VA Omaha the contractor shall be required to log in with Biomedical Engineering. This log in is mandatory as well as wearing the contractor badge issued upon log in. 2.2. When service is completed, the FSE (Field Service Engineer) shall document services rendered on a legible installation report (IS) and submit to the Biomed who set-up the service. The IS can be submitted when logging out with Biomed, via an internet web site or e-mail. The IS should be submitted not later than 5 business days after service is complete. 2.3. In those cases when the Biomed office is closed, contractor personnel will log in and/or out via the VA police and after hours service shall be prearranged with the BESS. 2.4. Contractor s FSE(s) shall wear visible identification at all times while on the premises of the VA. Identification shall include, as a minimum, the employee s name, position, and the contractor s trade name. 2.5. It is the responsibility of the contractor to park in the appropriate designated parking areas. Information on parking is available from VA Police Service. VA will not invalidate or make reimbursement for parking violations of the contractor under any conditions. 2.6. Smoking is prohibited inside all VA buildings. 2.7. Possession of weapons is prohibited. Enclosed containers, including tool kits, shall be subject to search. 2.8. Violations of VA regulations may result in citation answerable in the United States (Federal) District Court, not a local district, state or municipal court. 3. Contractor Qualifications: 3.1. Contractor must have full time staff that is fully qualified FSE and a fully qualified FSE who will serve as the backup for the equipment identified in this solicitation. 3.2. Fully qualified is based upon training and on experience in the field. For training, the FSE(s) has successfully completed a formalized training program for the equipment identified in this solicitation as required by the manufacturer. 3.3. Contractor must provide, upon request, evidence of appropriate training of any FSE(s) providing services under terms of the contract. Subcontracting of any ensuing award of this solicitation will not be allowed without written permission of the Contracting Officer.
