- The U.S. Geological Survey is performing market research to request information regarding potential sources and to determine the capabilities of potential vendors to provide the required brand name items as detailed below. USGS, Woods Hole Coastal & Marine Science Center is currently provisioned on HP Proliant DL585 GEN7 2P servers. The Centers demand for more high speed, centrally managed storage has increased the need for more robust servers to run VMware ESXI hosts. In order to meet the need and to take advantage of the HP SAN ¿s scalability, an upgrade with faster and more modern servers is needed for integration into the existing HP SAN solution. There are no option years for this request All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide the requested items to the primary contact below. Firms responding should indicate whether their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government ¿s evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether the forthcoming solicitation and it will be posted in NASA SEWP as it is the mandatory sight for purchasing the required servers. The requirement is expected to result in the award of a firm-fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 423430. The size standard $250 employees Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any government assessments.
