- This Request for Information (RFI) is to determine the availability of potential contractors who can provide the following. USGS Western Ecological Research Center, Las Vegas, NV, Requires the repair and replacement of Holohil Systems Model # RI-2B and Model # PD-2 Transmitters with the follow specification. Model RI-2B Frequency range: 138 - 235 MHz. Pulse range: 20-120ppm Pulse width range: 22-30ms Waterproof housing Greater than or equal to 15g Standard Life: 24 months Lifespan range: 18-30 months Dimensions: Diameter x H (mm) 25x13 Stranded stainless steel cable with black nylon coating Model PD-2 Frequency range: 138 - 235 MHz. Pulse range: 20-120ppm Pulse width: 22ms Waterproof housing Greater than or Equal to 3.8g Standard Life: 6 months Lifespan range: 5-9 months Dimensions: L x W x H (mm) 23x12x7 Stranded stainless steel cable with black nylon coating The USGS OAG Sacramento intends to award a sole source ID/IQ contract to Holohil Systems, Carp, Ontario, Canada. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the Government. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. NAICS is 334220 - RADIO AND TELEVISION BROADCASTING AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING Size Standard 1,250 EMP. Responses must include complete description of capabilities to be provided and contain sufficient technical information to allow agency analysis to establish bona fide capabilities. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any Government evaluation of the information received. All questions and submissions in response to this notice must be submitted electronically via email to Nik Lushenko, nlushenko@usgs.gov by 1300 ET on April 28, 2017. Capability statements shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to nlushenko@usgs.gov. All statement documents required by this notice must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than April 28, 2017 at 1300 ET. Statements submitted by hardcopy or the Fed Connect web portal or Fed Connect Message Center shall not be accepted or considered.
