Description

This is not a request for quotes or proposals; the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8-San Juan, Puerto Rico is currently conducting a market survey for potential qualified firms capable of pick-up, package, transport, eradicate and dispose/destroy the regulated medical waste, pathological waste, and/or special waste for the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan and other VA facilities located in Puerto Rico. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562211 The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources for this procurement relative to NAICS Code 562211 Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice shall include evidence of local and state permits, company profile and capabilities, contact information, business size and socioeconomic category, such as: Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business(VOSB), Women-Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, 8(a) Small Business, etc. Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (see internet site: https://www.sam.gov). Specific areas to be addressed in capability packages submitted by respondents are as follows: (a)Provide evidence of local and state permit for the management, transportation and disposal of regulated medical waste per Puerto Rico Law 180-2008. (b) Provide evidence of transportation permit for regulated medical waste within the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. ANY INTERESTED SMALL BUSINESSES should submit a capability statement that demonstrates the firm s ability to perform the key requirements described above. Standard company brochures will not be considered sufficient response to this Source Sought. In the capabilities statements, contractors should provide their size status for the above references NAICS code. (i.e. small, large) and whether or not they are certified SDVOSB, VOSB, Hub zone, 8(a) and women-owned concern. Responses to this notice must be submitted to ( mary.gugliano@va.gov ) not later than April 21, 2017 on or before 10:00am Eastern Time. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
