Description
Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with PETNET Solutions (DUNS: 015223951), pursuant to FAR part 12, FAR part 13, and specifically FAR 13.106-1(b)(2), for purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. The proposed sole source purchase order is for the delivery of Axumin F18 Radiopharmaceutical, on an as needed basis, to the VA Hunter Holmes McGuire Medical Center (Richmond VAMC) in Richmond, Virginia. The NAICS code for this contract action is 325412, Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing, with a SBA Size Standard of 1,250 employees. The Product Service Code for this action is 6540, Drugs and Biologicals. Axumin is a proprietary product used in positron emission tomography (PET) for men with suspected prostate cancer reccurence. Axumin F18 is the only radiopharmaceutical on the market that meets the indication required by the facility. The facility has provided estimated quantity usage for an annual period. The purchase order will include a base period and four (4) option periods. The base period of performance will occur from 1 May 2017, to 30 April 2018. PETNET Solutions (DUNS: 015223951) has been identified as the only authorized distributor of Axumin Fluciclovine F18 Injection. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, April 14, 2017, 08:00PM EST. The capability statement shall include an authorized distributor letter from the manufacturer, Blue Earth Diagnostics Ltd. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Daniel Spaulding, Contract Specialist, at daniel.spaulding@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
