- This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE of a proposed requirement to award one (1) Getinge Sterizone VP4 Sterilizer system or a system equal to or better than the salient characteristics. This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and no offers will be accepted. This action also requires warranties, shipping, and installation. # Item/Stock# Description Est. Unit 1 LUA-61301670120 Sterizone VP4 Sterilizer (or equal) 1 EA 2 LUA-61301670122 Sterizone VP4 Transport Cart (or equal) 1 EA 3 LUA-61301670121 Sterizone VP4 Loading Rack (or equal) 1 EA 4 Installation 1 EA Salient Characteristics Dual Sterilant Sterilizer System Sterilization Specifications System shall use dual sterilants, specifically vaporized hydrogen peroxide and ozone, in a single cycle to achieve absolute lethality during terminal sterilization. System shall already maintain FDA clearance for use in the USA as a dual sterilant, and low-temperature sterilizer. System shall be capable of sterilizing single loads of mixes of multiple types of heat and moisture sensitive medical devices such as implantable electronic transmitters, neural cannula and single channel flexible narrow endoscopes. Safety Features System shall not release toxic residue into the local facility or into the environment. System shall be equipped with a catalytic converter to decompose any residual gases into non-toxic residue, such as water vapor. Economy System shall have the ability to self-adjust use of sterilants based on weight and load configuration to economize on reagents. System shall be capable of sterilizing large loads (up to 75lb) of mixed batches of devices for each run to be cost effective. System shall have a run cycle time of less than 90 minutes for efficient turn-around of sterilized instruments that are being reused. Additional Features Freight and Installation. Shipping FOB Destination and installation shall be included in the overall price. One system transport cart. One loading rack. The Veteran s Health Administration Service Area Office - East estimates a posting date of solicitation VA240-17-Q-0127 on April 17, 2016 and distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and should not be construed to as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any costs incurred by interested parties will NOT be reimbursed. It is the responsibility of any interested party to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this notice. The agency is contemplating single award of a firm fixed price (FFP) contract to the contractor whose submission represents best value to the Government. The intention of this notice is to seek sources that could potentially provide these items under a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-aside, or a Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Firms with interest and capability to respond to this requirement should develop short (1 page or less) narrative capability statement including relevant information indicating and evidencing capability to successfully meet the aforementioned requirements.
