Period of performance: 17 - 28 April 2017 -Offsite Translation 17 - 28 April 2017 -Onsite Interpretation 25- 28 April 2017 -Onsite Translation 26 - 28 April 2017 *PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION AND PWS FOR DETAILED INFORMATION Questions and Answers Solicitation # W912CL-17-Q-0014 1. Can companies from Outside USA can apply for this? No. The acquisition has been set aside exclusively for small businesses. In accordance with FAR 19.001 and 19.101 small businesses will only include businesses located in the United States or its outlying areas. 2. Is there a requirement to attend meetings in Texas? There are no scheduled meetings that will require physical presence in Texas prior to the 25-28 April conference. The contracting officer or government representative may request participation in a telephone conference prior to execution. 3. Can the proposed work under this contract be completed outside the United States? This requirement, in its entirety, cannot be satisfied remotely. While the requirement for offsite translation can be performed remotely, the statement of work also requires in-person interpretation and translation during the 25-28 April conference. Interpreters and translators will have to be physically located at the conference in San Antonio, Texas in order to satisfy the requirement. 4. Can we submit the proposals via email? All responses should be submitted via electronic mail (e-mail). Quotes must be received by the contracting agency before 5:00PM Central Standard Time (CST) USA on Wednesday, 12 April 2016. 5. Why is there not a separate CLIN for an on-site equipment technician to support setup and tear down of equipment? In accordance with the solicitation and the performance work statement, the contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Spanish Language interpretation. This includes, but is not limited to, providing necessary support and knowledge of the infrared simultaneous interpretation system in order to ensure its operation. Prospective vendors should include this cost in the quote for CLIN 2: Infrared simultaneous interpretation system.
