- Description
- Maccor battery cycler Acquisition of a battery cycler that enables directcommunication/interface with a Solartron Electrochemical Impedance unit to allow forseamless, uninterrupted transition between impedance scans to electrochemical cycling. The battery cycler will provide charge/discharge capability for electrochemical cell testing. 2.Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The battery cycler shall perform the following duties: •Allow for multiple, unique programmable schedules to be written and mapped to testchannels •Allow for programmable steps including, but not limited to, constant currentcharge/discharge, constant voltage, constant power, rest, pulse •Automatic, unattended operation once test has been started by user •Unit must have multiple (minimum of 8) independent test channels over currentranges on the order of +/- 150uA, +/- 150mA, +/- 5mA, +/- 5A •Unit shall have dedicated computer hardware/software •Provide test cables for cell connections •Auxiliary voltage (minimum of 8) channels for independent voltage measurement •Auxiliary thermocouple (minimum of 8) channels for independent temperaturemeasurement •Direct interface connection capability with Solartron Electrochemical ImpedanceSpectroscopy unit and subsequent transition to electrochemical cycling •Provide "heartbeat" or "watchdog" function that will put tests into a safe state ifconnection between the control PC and the battery cycler 3. Period of Performance: 60-90 days from receipt of order.
