- Sources Sought for GSA to provide RECYCLING SERVICES; mixed office paper, corrugated cardboard, and commingled glass, plastic, and aluminum; electronic equipment; techno-trash; commercial plastic; batteries; wooden pallets; composting. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF RFP ISSUANCE. THE SOLICITATION IS NOT AVAILABLE. The purpose of this Sources Sought (SS) is for information and planning purposes only. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. It is a market research tool being used to make appropriate acquisition decisions for the above referenced project. This SS notice will help to identify potential sources that may be interested in and capable of providing the services described herein. Therefore, all potential offerors, both LARGE and SMALL business are encouraged to respond. The Government is not obligated to and will NOT pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Responses are due BY 3:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST) April 21, 2017. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government will proceed with the acquisition, a formal synopsis and subsequent solicitation announcement will be published. The Government’s intent is to solicit a Firm Fixed Price, Best Value Procurement. Project Description - SOURCES ARE SOUGHT FOR recycling services at six federal buildings located in downtown Chicago, Illinois at 230 S. Dearborn St. 219 S. Dearborn St, 77 W. Jackson Blvd., 11 W. Quincy Ct., 536 S. Clark St., and 610 S. Canal St. The Contractor shall be required to provide all management, supervision, labor and equipment to pick up Mixed Office Paper, Corrugated Cardboard, and commingled glass, plastic, and aluminum at least four to 20 times per month (dependent on building size). Electronic Equipment; Techno-Trash; Commercial Plastic; Batteries; Wooden Pallets; Composting shall be picked up on an as needed basis. The normal dock hours for these services are as follows: 230 S. Dearborn St./219 S Dearborn St./77 W. Jackson Blvd.: 24 hours/7 days per week with advanced scheduling; 536 S. Clark St./610 S. Canal St.: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday-Friday excluding Federal Holidays; 11 W. Quincy Ct.: Loading zone parking on Jackson Blvd. Monday-Friday 4:00 am-11:00 am. The estimated cost of this project for all five years is between $400,000 and $500,000 per year. Please Note: Security Clearance Requirements: All employees provided by the offeror to perform under this contract shall comply with GSA and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) security policies and controls. INTERESTED SOURCES SHOULD RESPOND NO LATER THAN April 21, 2017 by providing the following information: - A brief introduction into the company, including business size, include a description of relevant contract experience offered to the Government and/or commercial customers; - A brief statement of capability; - Their commercial brochure or other descriptive literature on their firm. Your Introduction shall include Name of firm w/address, phone, point of contact and email address, DUNS number. Please indicate whether your firm will submit an offer for this project, if this project is set-aside for 8(a), Hub Zone Small Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Proof of Small Business Administration (SBA) registration 8(a) and Hub Zone Small Business shall be provided with this response. Your Statement of Capability shall include any relevant commercial or Government experience providing all or part of these requirements. Responses to this source sought shall provide information that indicates the contractor has the experience to perform all work described above. Firms responding to this sources sought announcement, who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be used to assist the Government in the acquisition decision, which is the intent of this sources sought announcement.
