- Description
- CDC/NIOSH/Pittsburgh Mining Research Division (PMRD) / Human Factors Branch (HFB), intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to SensoMotric Instruments (SMI), Inc., 236 Lewis Wharf, Boston, MA 02110-3927, for quantity of 1 each: • ETG 2 - Wireless Analysis 60 Hz Binocular Glasses with HD scene camera, Android Smart Phone Wireless Mobile Data Recorder (60Hz). Eye Tracking Data and Parameter Export Utility. iViewETG Software with Live Annotation Utility, SDK License. BeGaze Qualitative Data Viewer with Annotations, Events Detection. • ETG 2 Analysis Pro Upgrade. BeGaze Mobile Analysis Software: Includes sematic gazee mapping analysis software for aggregation across multiple participants, • ETG 120 Hz Upgrade. Upgrades the ETG to full-frame, native 120 Hz binocular tracking. Includes 8" tablet-based mobile recording unit and holder. • Corrective Lens Module. Snap-on corrective lenses to replace any participant's glasses which may not be compatible with the ETG, Corrects -4 to +4 diopters up 0.5 diopters steps. • ETG Virtual Reality Upgrade. Includes 1 Stereoscopic Vision and 1 G&M snap-on frame. • On-site Installation and Training at No-cost. This is a direct replacement/upgrade for the current SMI system that the PMRD/HFB currently has. A direct replacement is required in order to maintain consistency and compatibilities with previously collected research data. • New projects in PMRD \ HFB require 120 Hz as the minimum capture rate to provide adequate sensitivity in data collection, These glasses will be used in conjunction with other instrumentation to study human reactions at a millisecond resolution. 120 Hz resolves to 8.33 ms. A lower capture frequency will not allow measurement as accurately and would not be considered valid for scientific research. • SMI's glasses provide a 3-point calibration scheme that generates accurate calibration across the entire viewing area of the glasses. They meet project requirements of 0.5 degrees accuracy. • SMI's new glasses hardware is compatible with prior versions of their software and will allow comparison of previously collected research data. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) SAP and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1).
