SOURCES SOUGHT RESPONSE TIME BEING EXTENDED TO 6 APRIL 2017 AT NOON (EST) AND PROVIDING QUESTIONS RECEIVED AND THE GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED: TRAINING QUESTIONS 1. Reading through the requirements, the first question is on the Modified Navy Drill 5.6.4.1. That can be done but would the Marines Prefer a MSOC QUAL, EOTG Qual or a JSOC QUAL that Aligns more with the Marine Corps Special Operations and MEU qualifications? -Modified Navy drill is to be used as the diagnostic standard for the purposes of this training; an MSOC, ETOG, or JSOC qual is a nice to have, but not necessary. 2. "High ready" is normally used by Naval Special Warfare. Do the Marines also want to be taught "Low ready" that used by the majority of combat forces including MARSOC, RECON units and MEU Special Maritime Forces for Close quarters battle and Confined space movement? -The Marines are to be taught the "high ready" for diversification of skills; they are already taught the "low ready". 3. Targets are provided by the unit: Will this include steel targets, scenario based targets such as shoot and no shoot or any other specialized targets? -Targets will be green paper "Ivans" on cardboard backing. 4. Shooting in the various positions such as supine, bilateral shooting, and barriers, will the client provide barriers and what barriers are being used I.E viking tactics or standard door barriers? -The Marines are providing the barriers; barriers will be fabricated from plywood to meet the training requirements. 5. Transitions: What slings are the Marines provided, Two point slings, single point or three point slings? -Marines are issued adjustable two-point Vicker's slings. 6. Equipment load out: What is the standard? Will every Marine have plate carrier,Helmet, "two" magazine speed reload pouches for pistol and rifle magazine pouches? -Marines will wear their Kevlar, plate carrier with front and back hard plates, individual load bearing gear with magazine pouches. They will have x6 rifle magazines and x2 pistol magazines. 7. What weapons are the Marines using M16A4, M4AI, M9 or M9A1 -Marines will be shooting M16A4s, M4s, and M9s. Will the Marines show up using zeroed optics and backup sights? What sights will the Marines have. Any other optics or flashlights being used on the pistol and rifles. -The Marines will have their issued rifles with RCOs. All optics should be zeroed, but the Marines will conduct a hasty confirmation BZO on the range. No flashlights or backup sights are issued. 8. What holster system is used by the Marines? Safariland, Serpa or other -The Marines will use issued SERPA drop-leg holsters. 9. What is the round count per Marine for pistol and rifle? -x1000 5.56 per Marine, ~50-200 9mm per Marine. Instructor qualifications 10.What approving agency do you want for CQB Qualifications: all instructors are either MARSOC, JSOC, SOCOM,SOTG, ETOG and DOE qualified. -A current qualification in CQB from any agency is valid 11. Listed is North Carolina accreditation, What exactly does the client want from this? Are they seeking concealed weapons permits. what certificate are they looking for specifically ? -The Marines must be issued certificates of completion for the training course that document their successful training. ********************************************************** SEARCHING FOR VENDORS WHO ARE CERTIFIED REGIONAL INSTRUCTORS FOR THE VICKERS SHOOTING METHOD.
