- Solicitation packages will be available on or about 4/19/2017. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and disposal required to complete major maintenance and repairs of buildings 1 and 2 at U. S. Coast Guard Sector Northern New England, South Portland Maine (Cumberland County). Both buildings will remain fully operational throughout the construction period with the exception of the Command Center, which will be relocated to another USCG facility by the Government (NIC), therefore phased/sequenced construction shall be required. The work includes providing reconfiguration of existing spaces, including demolition and selective removals, select hazardous materials removals, and salvaging fixtures and equipment for reinstallation. New work includes partitions, doors, windows, ceilings (SAT and gypsum board), raised access flooring, finishes, and all associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing work in support of the reconfiguration. Additional work includes repairing exterior spalled concrete, repointing/repairing brick masonry, replacing roof system and insulation, and addressing water infiltration at Building 2 (regrading and site drainage); and incidental related work as specified. Optional bid items include: * Building 1 - Windows (Only) Replacement * Building 2 - Windows (Only) Replacement * Temporary Command Center Office Trailer (Base Bid is USCG provides temporary Command Center Office Trailer) This invitation for bid is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14, and is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns in accordance with FAR Part 19.5. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $36.5 Million. The magnitude of construction range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid, payment, and performance bonds will be required. The overall performance period for this project is 300 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The bid opening date is scheduled for 05/19/2017 at 2:00 pm.
