- Description
- LSJ for VA HR-LOB Training Database & Functional HelpDesk Support Summary of GST0213CJ0007, Modification 51. There are two (2) current actions discussed in this Limited Sources Justification. The first is for IBM to provide additional hyper-care support to the VA functional help desk in order to supplement staff in anticipation for an elevated number of help desk calls due to the increasing size of deployments. This support is an increase in level of effort of existing support to improve overall help desk response time and speed the resolution of submitted help desk tickets due to the increased help desk demands via high number of tickets being submitted due to population size. Support will provide for faster workforce stabilization and VA wide acceptance of the system. The work associated with the hyper-care requirement will be time and materials estimated at 9,009 hours and will be performed as part of the current contract line item 1011 with performance through June 30, 2017. The second action is for IBM to provide continuing support and hosting of the IBM Training Environment through December 31, 2017 to enable delivery of VA classroom training on the HR Smart PeopleSoft solution. The Training Environment is sized to support up to 200 concurrent users. VA will use this environment to re-train its HR personnel on the fielded solution and to support the new Manager Self Service and Employee Self Service business process training. It will also be used by the workforce to practice processing personnel transactions without having permanent affect on employee personnel information improving HR business processing skills. The implementation phase of this work, associated with the training environment, will be done as firm fixed price as part of the current contract line item 3001 which includes the training environment support. The current period of performance for contract line item 3001 is through December 31, 2017. The overall total estimated value of this effort is $598,000.
