- Solicitation VA69D-17-Q-0854 Notice of Intent to Sole Source reference Public Law (PL) 109-461. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center is procuring the following, for the Clement J. Zablocki VAMC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin: The Clement J. Zablocki VAMC is in need of a new patient monitoring system. This system shall include one (1) Connex CS server for sending spot/episodic vitals to CPRS/VistA, one (1) CS Central Station, thirty (30) Connex 6700 vital signs monitors with EarlySense devices connected to the Central Station, one (1) Connex 6700 vital signs monitor with EarlySense on a portable roll stand, and thirty (30) Connex 6700 vital signs monitors without EarlySense. EarlySense is continuous, contact-free patient monitoring, which will be piloted on one of the inpatient units. This system shall also include interfaces between the Central Station and the facilities owned Extension system and between the Connex monitors and the facilities owned Nurse Call system for nursing notifications. This procurement shall also include all project management and technical services to install, maintain, and support. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to award on a sole source basis, IAW Public Law (PL) 109-461, a contract to THE JANZ CORPORATION, 6950 Americana Parkway, Suite F, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068-4127, to provide the above items. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is the Veterans First Contracting Program which requires the Veterans Affairs (VA) to increase contracting and subcontracting opportunities for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, i/a/w: Public Law (PL) 109-461. The applicable NAICS Code is 334510 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers. However, all quotes received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There will be no solicitation available.
