- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modification to an existing delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the Tomahawk Weapons System (TWS) Modernization program. This effort will include analysis to ensure the Integrated Single Box Solution (ISBS) radio and the antenna associated with the radio can be successfully integrated within the Torpedo Tube Launch (TTL variant of the Tactical Tomahawk Block IV All-Up-Round (AUR) missile (herein referred to as TACTOM). This effort will leverage off the efforts previously performed for the VLS and CLS variants. This effort was previously synopsized under N00019-15-P4-PMA-280-0005, and a sources sought notice for the BOA effort, N00019-15-P2-PMA-280-0037, was issued 14 July 2015 with no responses. For purposes of this effort, NAVAIR intends to award the effort to Raytheon Missile Systems, P.O. Box 11337, Bldg 9022, M/S K1, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Their point of contact is Ms. Veronica Harper, (520)663-8839. Since 1998, Raytheon has been the sole developer, designer and manufacturer of the TACTOM missile and as such solely possesses the data rights to the current TACTOM configuration technical data package. Raytheon currently manages the key requirements, interfaces, and integration and verification documents for the TACTOM. This effort will require extensive integration with TACTOM, which will require specific engineering data for the electrical, mechanical, firmware, software and functional interfaces. Raytheon is the only known source with the requisite knowledge capable of accomplishing this requirement within the required timeframe. This effort requires access to 'Military Critical Technical Data' requiring a DD Form 1234, and the data associated with the Tomahawk missile is export controlled and not available to foreign sources or representatives.
