- 1. This Pre-Solcitation posting for Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC is for a Laundry Chemical contract that covers a base year and 4 option years - SF1449 Solicitation to follow. A. The following is an estimate of chemicals and equipment needed to fulfill the mission assigned to the Depot Laundry. With regards to equipment the contractor should construe this as the minimum requirements. Contractors are encouraged to make recommendations with regard to chemicals and equipment which will help the laundry to perform its mission. (1) All chemicals are to be in liquid state delivered in 55 Gal. Barrels, with no deposits. (2) Chemicals needed and yearly totals used in gallons. (3) Detergent....................................min 1100 gal max 1300 gal. (4) Builder........................................min 1100 gal max 1300 gal (5) Sour/ Iron.......................................min 500 gal max 700 gal. (6) Bacterias Tatic Softener...................... min 200 gal max 300 gal (7) Bleach 12.5% Sodim Hydrogen Chloride...min 600 gal max 800 gal b. Liquid Dispensing Equipment provided by contractor, owned and maintained by contractor. c. All chemicals barrels shall be clearly labeled as to hazards. d. All chemicals shall be listed by name, brand, and quality grade. e. Formulas are important and shall be addressed by contractor. With regard to amount of water required, water temperature and length of cycle required. f. Formulas shall be divided for colors and whites. Formulas shall be devised for each of the machines listed below. Separate formulas for white and colors. Formulas shall be in ounces of use item per machine with regard to machine size. g. Contractor shall base all of the above on Washer/Extractor equipment in place. (1) Two (2) G.A Braun (microprocessor) NDT 800 LB. Side/Top Loading (Steam) Year 1991 (2) Two (2) G.A Braun (microprocessor) NDT 600 LB. Side/Top Loading (Steam) Year 1993 (3) Three (3) G.A Braun (microprocessor) NDT 400 LB. Side/Top Loading (Steam) Year 1989 (4) One (1) Milnor 90 lb Front Loading (Steam), Cylinder Fingers
