- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract to Guldmann Inc., 14401 McCormick Drive, Suite A, Tampa, FL 33626, for the following requirement: The contractor shall provide, install, and test five (5) GH3 Guildmann Ceiling Lift Systems for 5 different rooms at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Clinic Building 55, Jefferson Barracks Division, St. Louis, MO. Requirements include site visit, proposal drawings for each room prior to installation and training. The Government has determined Guldmann Ceiling Lifts supports the goal of VHA Directive 2010-032 dated June 28, 2010 entitled Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) Program and Facility Design and all VISN 15 facility SPHM policies which protect caregivers and patients from injuries due to patient handling and movement. The VAMC St. Louis, MO is standardized to Guldmann Ceiling Lifts and Slings. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit a capability statement, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing same service, to Karen Munroe, Contracting Officer, at Karen.Munroe@va.gov by February 27, 2017 no later than 1:00 pm (local time). All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted using FAR 13 simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a size standard of 1000 Employees. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
