THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy for Nurse Credentialing service for VA Palo Alto Health Care System with location in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore CA. Please note that this Request for Information (RFI) is for information only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirement are invited to submit information describing their capability to provide the required services. OVERVIEW: Fifteen identified Registered Nurses and Nurse Chief s from Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System require a comprehensive presentation and networking event to have VAPAHCS on the right path to nursing excellence. The conference shall be conducted at the Hilton Anatole Dallas hotel located at 2201 North Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75207. The main conference is going to be held on April 27, 2017 through April 28, 2017 and the pre-conference will be held on April 26, 2017. Organizations responding to this RFI should provide the company s capabilities to perform this requirement. The NAICS code is 611430. The Small Business size standard is $11.0 million. The information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the VA not to open the requirement to open competition, based on responses to this sources sought synopsis is solely within the discretion of the VA. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. All responses must be sent via e-mail to Rico Johnson, Contracting Officer, at rico.johnson@va.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are due by 2:00 PST on April 3, 2017. Statement of Work ANCC Pathways to Excellence Conference 640-17-2-853-0523 General Information. Fifteen identified Registered Nurses and Nurse Chief s from Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System require a comprehensive presentation and networking event to have VAPAHCS on the right path to nursing excellence. Period of performance. 3 days of targeted discussions and networking opportunities that will provide best practices to achieve positive patient outcomes, and strategies to create a positive practice environment and transform VAPAHCS Nursing Services. Hours of Performance. The pre-conference workshop sessions shall be conducted from 0800 to 1700. The first day of concurrent sessions shall be conducted from 0830 1500. The second and final day of concurrent sessions shall be conducted from 0800 1615. Location of Classes: Hilton Anatole Dallas hotel located at 2201 North Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75207. The main conference is going to be held on April 27, 2017 through April 28, 2017 and the pre-conference will be held on April 26, 2017. Specific session locations shall be provided to the attendees at the time of registration at 0730 on all scheduled conference dates. Scope of Work. The American Nurses Credentialing Center shall hold their ANCC Pathway to Excellence Conference over three (3) days from April 26, 2017 through April 28, 2017. The ANCC and guest speakers shall provide sufficient handouts necessary to facilitate the educational experience. Conference Agenda. ANCC has provided a detailed agenda as seen in the attached document Pathway Conference - Concurrent Sessions. Conference Objective. The conference program shall increase Nursing Service staff knowledge on best practices to achieve positive patient outcomes, increase nurse satisfaction, and improve organizational outcomes. Contractor Qualifications. ANCC is the world's largest and most prestigious nurse credentialing organization, and a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association (ANA). Security Considerations. At no time will the vendor be in contact or have access to VA sensitive information. VA sensitive information procedures will be followed per VA Handbook 6500.6. Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan. The Point of Contact (POC) or Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) will evaluate the services required to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract. Re-scheduling and Cancellation of Classes. The POC will notify the ANCC in the event of the need to cancel a scheduled seminar due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. inclement weather or other natural disasters) that would preclude participant s ability to travel to the training location.
