Sources Sought Synopsis Long Arm Sewing Machine For the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Jacksonville, FL This sources sought synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for bids. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers, and the Government is under no obligation to award an order as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement, and no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis notice is strictly voluntary. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to survey prospective vendors in order to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing a long arm sewing machine manufactured either in the United States or a Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant country. This sources sought is a market research tool being used to determine potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Quote. Interested parties are requested to submit a capabilities statement of no more than five (5) pages in length. Capability statements shall include the following information: 1) Company name, address, POC name, phone number, fax number and email 2) Contractor (CAGE Code) 3) Size of business - Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantage, 8(a), HubZone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned. Note: The potential North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) Code is 333249, Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing- Sewing Machine Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size of 500 employees. 4) If the Items can be solicited from a General Services Administration (GSA) schedule contract vehicle or Open market 5) Salient characteristics of the equipment being proposed which demonstrate the equivalency to the long arm sewing machine in accordance with the below specifications 6) Contractor (Manufacturer or Distributer) and what country product offered is manufactured Two (2) sewing machines. Those firms interested in providing information in response to this sources sought are requested to provide the above information to the Purchasing Agent, Moira Anderson at moira.anderson@navy.mil by 1:00 pm (Eastern Time, April 3 2017. All data received in response to this sources sought notice, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government.
