- Sources Sought/ Request for Information - Mound City, IL South Culvert Replacement. This market survey is for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information request. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of firms interested in participating in the competition to compete and perform a fixed price construction contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District is planning to solicit/award a contract to experienced source(s) capable of performing a wide range of construction contracts. The project consists of the construction of a new 48-inch RCP culvert and the abandonment of an existing 30-inch CMP culvert through the mainline Ohio River levee in Mound City, IL. The work will involve constructing a 2-stage cofferdam to maintain the line of protection during construction, constructing a cast-in-place reinforced concrete outlet structure with a steel flap gate, constructing a cast-in-place, reinforced concrete gatewell with a sluice gate near the crown of the levee, and constructing a new 48-inch RCP culvert. The existing culvert will be abandoned in place after being grouted and capped with compacted impervious fill. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this sources sought synopsis. The Government is requesting interested contractors to furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, e-mail address: (2) Type of Business (small, small disadvantaged, service disabled veteran, women-owned or HubZone small business concerns); (3) State your bonding capacity as of date of your response. All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. (4) Provide no more than five (5) references, of most recent and relevant contracts, performed within the last three (3) years of work same/similar in nature to this requirement. Include name, address, telephone number, and email address of references. Also provide a brief description of work performed, contract number, total contract value, and period of performance. Submission of information should be limited to not more than five (5) pages. Please provide affirmation that your firm can comply with the following minimum requirements: FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, which requires a small business concern perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $36.5 million. The estimated cost of this project is between $1, 00,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The U. S.
