Gulf Coast VA Medical Center 400 Veterans Avenue Biloxi, MS 39531 SCOPE OF WORK AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR: CARDIAC STRESS TEST SYSTEMS 1. Background The Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System (GCVHCS) utilizes Cardiac Stress Testing Systems to help evaluate the presence and extent of coronary artery disease through changes in EKG or assessment of symptoms during testing. It is also used to assess functional capacity or exercise-induced dysrhythmias. Currently, GCVHCS three cardiac stress systems that have surpassed the life expectancy. 2. Specifications The GCVHCS desires the following salient characteristics for the cardiac stress testing systems: Must meet current ACC/AHA standards Capable of communicating with GE MUSE data management system ECG analysis frequency of at least 500 Hz Sampling Rate at 16000 Hz, 12 leads Display heart rate, target heart rate, blood pressure, exercise clock, stage clock, phase clock, protocol, speed, grade, Watts, METS, RRP, and SpO2. Treadmill of at least 60-inch walking surface, two stopping modes, full handrail set, standard emergency stop switch, 0-13.5 mph speed range, weight capacity of 450lbs and 0-25 percent grade range. Allow for update to the existing equipment, ensure the most current cardiac stress testing technology, decrease the amount and depth of training of staff and physicians, and eliminate the use of aging technology and equipment. Below is a list of all services needed: Installation of monitoring systems Training for clinical staff Contractor shall supply past performance testing of regulators to demonstrate ability to fulfill characteristics. Point of contact is Austin Hampton and can be reached at 228-523-5720. Contractor shall report to the Biomed Shop, Building 1 Room 2B112. VAMC, Biloxi, MS 39531 to sign in before making service call. The contractor shall ship all parts and provide service within 14 days of award. Any part or service not covered by this service contract will not be completed without first consulting with the contracting officer s representative and subsequently procuring a formal purchase order from the VAMC, Engineering Service, Biloxi, MS 39531. Contractor shall provide services during normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays. Federal Holidays: New Year s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and any other day specifically declared a by the President of the United States to be a federal holiday. The equipment shall have at least a 1 year warranty which starts when the installation and training is completed. The contractor, their personnel, and their subcontractors shall be subject to the Federal laws, regulations, standards, and VA Directives and Handbooks regarding information and information system security as delineated in this contract. The C&A requirements do not apply and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. No sensitive information should be accessed, to ensure this, a Clinical Engineering Tech will escort the contractor the entire time they are on-site and have all studies currently stored on the unit deleted before contractor arrives. 3.
