Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Precision Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-201) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Delivery Order to The Boeing Company, under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-16-G-0001. The order is anticipated to be for twenty-four (24) months. Contract award is anticipated for the fourth quarter of calendar year 2017. This order is to provide for the Taiwan Navy (TN) Perry FFG-7 Class Ship Harpoon Missile TARTAR reconfiguration and Initial Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), technical and training services required to support Harpoon Ship Command Launch Set (HSCLCS) reconstitution on a TN FFG-7 Class ship for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to the Boeing Company. Boeing is the designer, developer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Harpoon weapons systems and its related equipment, and is the only known source of the proprietary technical data necessary to fulfill this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, any capability statement, proposal, or quotation, received within fifteen (15) days of the publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with Boeing at the address: The Boeing Company, Attention: Jeffrey Salisbury, P. O. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
