Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. The Gulf Coast Veteran health Care Systems in Biloxi, Mississippi is seeking preferably SDVOSB/VOSB/Small Businesses ( but will accept other than small business for market research) capable pf providing Healing Touch Level I and Level II Training for VA Medical Staff. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals or quotes are being requested or accepted with this notice; however this notice will be followed by a Solicitation requesting quotes. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) is seeking, Contractors capable of providing all labor, management, equipment, supplies, transportation, necessary to provide healing touch training level I and level II to 25 students per class. STATEMENT OF WORK Healing Touch I. SCOPE: To provide Level 1 and Level 2 Healing Touch (2) day courses for twenty (24) participants for each course at Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, 400 Veterans BLVD, Biloxi, MS, 39531. In addition, 6 hours of consultation services will be associated with the Level 1 course and 12 hours of consultation for the Level 2 course. Contractor shall provide one instructor for level I and two instructors for level II. 1. Instructor shall teach a minimum of the following subject items for Level 1: Twelve techniques that you can use immediately How to use your hands and heart to foster healing in others and in yourself How to open your heart and spirit to everyone you know in a healing way What your energy anatomy looks like How your energy anatomy is connected with your mind, body and spirit What other people's energy feels like How to relieve pain and calm emotions in yourself and others How to clear up energetic blockages that affect us negatively How to maintain balance in your own energy system so that you can thrive instead of just survive Personal development skills that will foster your personal and professional growth How to share this exciting work in your community How to tap into resources that you can share with friends and colleagues that demonstrate the scientific validity of Healing Touch The Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics that make the Healing Touch Program a professional, certified program 2. Instructor shall teach a minimum of the following subject items for Level 2: How to do a full one-hour sequence with a client How to open your own and your client's energy field for deeper work with the Spiral Meditation How to develop therapeutic skills while conducting interviews with your clients Concepts of sacred space Additional assessment methods How to conduct a Trauma Interview while giving your client a Chakra Connection A sequence of five steps you can use for the back and neck that promote pain relief and healing How to focus or quiet the mind with the "Mind Clearing" technique and an additional, modified, Mind Clearing technique How to seal wounds or energetic leaks in the body How to professionally document your sessions Review Level 1 techniques throughout the course. 3. Consultation Services: Increase administrative understanding of ways Healing Touch can benefit veterans in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Increase administrative understanding of ways Healing Touch can support hospital staff wellness and self-care, and increase morale. Provide review, ongoing support and motivation for students from the September 2016 Level 1 Healing Touch class and in August, support the students from the May Level 1 class. Assist with ways to build access to services without assigned FTE. Assist with development of a referral process. Assist with marketing strategies across the system. Assist with development of documentation templates. Assist with development of outcome measures. Meet with leadership to promote Healing Touch Services. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS: All twenty (24) participants for each course shall receive a copy of the appropriate Level Healing Touch notebook. Each participant passing the each class and meeting the time requirements shall receive a completion certificate and 16 Continuing Education hours through the American Association of Nurse Credentialing. 3. REQUIREMENTS: Participants will have a strong commitment to personal growth and knowledge of holistic health principles and is interested in enhancing the lives of veterans using the gift of energetic touch. The class will begin at 8:00am and end at 5:00 pm each day. Class will be two (2) consecutive days. The class dates are May 22 and 23 for Level 1 and August 7 and 8 for Level 2. Instructor shall provide power point curriculum and participant notebooks. Price must be all inclusive, covering all of the instructor s travel and expenses, all course materials, and Continuing Education documents. All services will be performed and accomplished in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and schedule within the statement of work that will be provided. Services will be from 05/22/2017 08/08/2017 under NAICS 611710. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement. A solicitation package will be available following this notice in which you sources may then provide quotes. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence of capabilities. When responding include company s capabilities statement and state whether the service is on GSA/FSS schedule or open market. Interested parties must respond to this notice no later than close of business 8am CST March 7, 2017 to tina.harris3@va.gov Responding as an interested party under the www.fbo.gov website doesn t constitute convincing evidence of capabilities. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
