- Description
- This statement provides notice that the Government anticipates awarding a primarily Firm-Fixed Price contract for Production of Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receivers 2000 (MAGR) 2Ks. The Contractor shall provide efforts required to complete Production of MAGR 2Ks Units, Production of MAGR 2K-Modernized Units, Production of MAGR 2K-Modernized Production Representative Units, MAGR 2K repairs, MAGR 2K-M repairs, MAGR 2K-(IF) repairs, MAGR 2K (RF) repairs, MAGR 2K-S(RF) repairs, Technical Services and Demilitarization. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to negotiate and award a five-year sole source contract to Raytheon Company. (CAGE: 4U884), 2000 E El Segundo Blvd., El Segundo, CA 90245. This is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements". All responsible sources may submit a capability statement of proposal; which shall be reviewed by the U.S. Government. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract action will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. In accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 16.201, foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level. All potential offerors should contact the Contracting Specialist/Procuring Contracting Officer identified above for additional information, questions, and/or concerns. This solicitation is expected to be released on 16 March 2017 with a response due no later than 30 days after the issuance of the solicitation. The period of performance for this contract will consist of one (1) 12-month basic period and four (4) 12-month ordering periods. The place of performance will be specified in the forthcoming solicitation.
