Notice Type: Posted Date: Special Notice / Intent to Sole Source February 22, 2017 Original Set Aside: Response Date: Open Market Sole Source February 27, 2017 @ 12:00 p.m. EST Classification Code: NAICS Code: J066 Maint/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment- 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Instruments and Laboratory Equipment Manufacturing Synopsis: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.101(a)(1), the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 416), this Notice of Intent serves as the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) intention to award a sole source contract for: User training for staff on the Qiagen QiaSymphony SP system. Basic maintenance service agreement for QiaSymphony SP system to include updating software to version 4.0.3, coverage on all parts, labor and travel, and annual preventative maintenance to: QIAGEN INC 19300 GERMANTOWN ROAD GERMANTOWN, MD 20874-1415 No solicitation will be forthcoming, pursuant to FAR 13.106-1, Soliciting Competition - (b) Soliciting from a single source. (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization). Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement should notify the contracting office no later than February 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. EST. Notification may be sent to Mark West at Jeffrey.west3@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted.
