Description
This listing is not comprehensive but rather is an example of the type of items being researched. The United States Air Force (USAF) 771 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (ESS) is in the process of considering an acquisition strategy for procuring medical equipment repair parts. The chosen strategy would provide for an enterprise wide (United States and overseas) USAF medical facilities supply strategy. BACKGROUND To aid in the development of the acquisition strategy, the 771 ESS / EGB flight is investigating the availability of medical repair parts and cost saving opportunities. Currently, the Air Force has over 70 procurement offices buying medical repair parts. The flight is tasked with evaluating strategic sourcing solution(s) for the Air Force. The Air Force has structured this Request for Information (RFI) to obtain industry feedback on the history and capabilities of the industry. The survey was developed to obtain what we anticipate will be useful information as a strategy is developed while not requiring an undo level of effort from industry. While specific parts have not yet been identified, the attached example of equipment being repaired might help you understand what we are looking for. DISCLAIMER The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information about the marketplace as well as capabilities for planning purposes as defined in FAR 15.201(e). Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Offerors are advised that only Air Force Contracting Officers are legally authorized to commit the Government to the obligation of funds. Offerors are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. For copyright purposes, offerors are also advised that submitting a proposal implies express permission for the Government to use the data, pictures, and other information contained in the submittals. We highly encourage all interested parties to provide a complete and thorough response to this RFI, however not responding will not preclude participation should a solicitation be released. Please monitor the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) website for future information pertaining to this potential requirement. REQUESTED INFORMATION The USAF is requesting your input to gather information to help us refine our requirements and to identify qualified parties who might be able to meet our future requirements. This RFI allows the opportunity to provide input and recommendations consistent with your product line offering, industry trends, and cost saving suggestions. All parties with an appropriate product relating to the requirements set forth herein are invited to provide data on the capabilities of your company. In addition to the attached documents, please provide a point of contact (POC) within your company, your company's cage code and DUNS number, and your company's number of employees. General questions, comments or additional company information applicable to the RFI should be submitted via e-mail. The linked survey is set up for your responses and any additional comments you may have. Please complete the survey and send additional information to the email address below. The Air Force will not accept or acknowledge: e-mails over 2MB, brochures, samples, catalogs and any other marketing solicitation information.
