Notice Type: Posted Date: Special Notice / Intent to Sole Source February 21, 2017 Original Set Aside: Response Date: Open Market Sole Source February 24, 2017 @ 12:00 p.m. EST Classification Code: NAICS Code: H963 Other Quality Control Services/Alarm, 561621 Fire alarm monitoring services Signal and Security Detection Systems Synopsis: In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.101(a)(1), the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 416), this Notice of Intent serves as the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) intention to award a sole source contract for: EN-GAUGE GMS fire extinguishing system upgrade from Version 4.07 to Version 4.20 to include on-site support services and system training to: EN-GAUGE INC 11 COMMERCE DRIVE ROCKLAND, MA 02370-1080 No solicitation will be forthcoming, pursuant to FAR 13.106-1, Soliciting Competition - (b) Soliciting from a single source. (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization). Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement should notify the contracting office no later than February 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. EST. Notification may be sent to Mark West at Jeffrey.west3@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted.
