Description

THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System, Ann Arbor, Michigan is seeking a contractor to provide 1) the development of a specific polymer (including synthesis, sourcing, modification, testing and characterization) to meet the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System s specifications and timeline; 2) a benchmark print (i.e. a ~1 cm3 prototype) to verify laser parameters and settings; 3) optimal printer settings for desired prints to the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System upon completion of contract. The prototype design will be provided by the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System and will have feature sizes down to 10 um. The contractor must provide a 3D printer service capable of printing polydimethyl siloxane with feature sizes of 10 um or less and build areas of 150x150x150mm or larger. Period of performance is date of award completion of work. The applicable North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 333244. All potential bidders MUST be registered and active in the System for Award Management site (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. Potential bidders should register at https://www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notification of and/or changes to the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available only via the Federal Business Opportunities website https://www.fedbizopps.gov. No faxed bid packages shall be accepted. Bid packages will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about February 17, 2017. No phone, fax or email inquiries will be taken for this Pre-Solicitation Notice.
