Description
STATEMENT OF WORK FOR RFI Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) PSYCHOLDRAMA TRAINING Scope: Provide face-to-face introductory/preparatory psychodrama training (pre-workshop) & 2-day psychodrama workshop training to VA staff & students. Background: The training supports a methodology that is being used in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) of Eastern Colorado Health Care System ((ECHCS)Community-Based Substance Abuse Treatment Program (CB-SATP). This methodology has been used since the program started in 2000. All program staff received training in the methodology; however, new staff & students joining every year need to be trained and current staff require a refresher so that practices do not become stale. In addition, the training supports program engagement & team building as staff and students get to know each other at a depth that probably would not be possible otherwise. Ultimately, the benefit of this training is to provide our Veteran patients with elite care. In a recent sample of some 82 Veterans, the psychodrama sessions were rated the highest of all the interventions. For that reason, continuing this training is critical to improve and maintain staff capacity to provide optimal care to our Veterans. Specific Tasks: VA ECHCS will contract with vendor to provide training to VA staff and students. Contracted vendor will coordinate with VA program manager (PM) to schedule date(s) and time(s) when training will be offered to VA staff and students. Prior to scheduled training dates, PM and/or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) will provide Contractor with sign-in sheet to collect attendee signatures.
