- The Department Of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office - NCO 15, intends to release a Sources Sought announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposal or quote and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this Sources Sought is 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 1000 Employees. Details, to include full specifications will be included in this Sources Sought announcement which will be released on or about February 15, 2017. Any contractor who wishes to be considered for future solicitation must submit a response. Due date for responses will be February 20, 2017 at 5:00 pm EST. Sources Sought response shall be submitted via email referencing VA255-17-N-0288 in the subject line to emilio.ballentos@va.gov. We are seeking for potential sources qualified to provide the following: STATEMENT OF WORK Digital Acuity System for Exam Rooms in Eye Clinic 1. Scope: The Ophthalmology Services Department, Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center located at 1081 South Glendale, Wichita, Kansas 67208 requests procurement of Digital Acuity System for Exam Rooms in Eye clinic. Current Visual acuity systems are degrading; Mirrors utilized are becoming scratched and coatings degraded affecting quality and accuracy of visual acuity charts. New Visual Acuity System would void the need for mirrors, projectors and bulbs; utilizes a computer and wireless display which cannot degrade in quality of image. Patient education can be played on the wall monitors, contrast and sensitivity can be altered as well for optimal testing conditions. Equipment desired by March 03, 2017. 2. Requirement: 17 Digital Acuity System Fully Installed 3. Salient Characteristics: (a) Digital acuity software needs remote/receiver. (b) Remote caddy, HOTC card/Hot key (c) Hotkey mouse pad (d) All in one wall mountable computer with wireless touch. (e) Viewable screen for examiner behind patient. 4. Other requirements. - Monitors and Screens will need to be mounted on walls (Wall type-framed) - Vendor shall install and test all equipment to ensure full operation - Clinical training, biomedical service training - All training will be provided locally (Power Point or other downloadable training will not be accepted) - Minimum of a two year warranty covering all parts, labor at no charge to the Government Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications to be considered for award. In addition, FAR 4.11 states that prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management www.SAM.gov database prior to award of a contract. All Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) shall be verified in VetBiz at www.vip.vetbiz.gov Responses to this Sources Sought shall include: 1.
