Description

The Lead Purchasing Agent makes the recommendation to solicit this procurement set-a-side for small businesses. This notice is for competitive quotes and interested parties must provide quotes for exact match product, quotes with comparable product will not be accepted. Interested parties must be able to provide Magic Salt (same as Super Salt) in bulk, tons or cubic yards. Statement of Work Supplier is to deliver 60 tons of product (Magic Salt) at a given time which is to be loaded into the sand and salt shed that is located directly across from buildings 35 and 36. VA Connecticut s West Haven campus is to contact supplier prior to each snow event to arrange for a delivery of the product. Upon arrival to the West Haven campus, supplier is to contact the grounds supervisor or designee to ensure that a signature for receipt of product has been completed. Please note that Magic Salt is very effective in weather that is up to -25 °F with less corrosion. It can dissolve snow up to 2 inches without plowing. It is an organic solid granular de-icer with blends of agricultural enhancers and magnesium chloride for fast snow and ice melting. It is bio-degradable and environmentally friendly. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification by Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 12pm EST.
