Description
GSA is seeking industry input on the best performing, most cost effective, after-market installed idle mitigation systems to apply to the federal fleet of motor vehicles to include captioned technology, hardware and installation services. GSA Fleet has over 60 years of experience purchasing and leasing non-tactical motor vehicle support to both military and civilian customers. The sole mission of GSA Fleet is to deliver safe, reliable, and low cost vehicle solutions that allow Federal agencies to effectively and efficiently meet their missions. GSA Fleet started with a handful of sedans in 1954, and has grown to supporting over 15,000 unique customers with more than 205,000 vehicles. GSA Fleet currently operates approximately half of the Federal Government's non-tactical/non-postal vehicles through long-term leasing agreements. The composition of the Federal fleet spans a wide variety of vehicles; however, the following makes/models represent the majority of our assets: passenger sedans, station wagons, sport utility vehicles (SUV), full and mid-size pickup trucks, full and mid-size vans, ambulance and mass casualty patient transports, police vehicles, school and transport buses, medium/heavy duty trucks, and wrecker and carrier transport vehicles. This request seeks information from the marketplace regarding how to best implement aftermarket idle mitigation systems in these vehicle types.
