Site Map: Alexandra VA SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: Grounds Maintenance- Alexandra, VA THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY SERVICES, NOR IS IT THE INTENT OF THE ARMY CONTRACTING COMMAND- NEW JERSEY TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOUGHT. 1. CONTRACT INFORMATION: ACC- NJ is seeking preliminary marketing information, from capable and reliable small business sources to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources capable of performing all requirements of the below item. This is a single requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) classified for this effort is 561730: landscaping services. The ACC-NJ anticipates releasing a solicitation announcement, to be published in the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov), on or about 1 March 2017. The solicitation will consist of a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE contract for a period of performance of: 12 month base plus four 12 month option periods. 2. PROJECT SCOPE: Grounds Maintenance Services: See attached site map MOWING. All grass cutting equipment will arrive at the site with mowing blades in a sharp condition. Mowing shall include areas identified in the site map. During the growing season grass shall be cut to a height no higher than three (3) inches and no less than two (2) inches. Visible clumps of clippings must be removed within four (4) hours after being cut the Contractor shall remove and disposed of the clippings at no extra cost to the Government. Grass will be cut approximately every 14 days or as directed by the COR. Routine policing of the grounds will be conducted during mowing services and all site areas, walkways, and parking areas shall be kept free of debris/trash by either sweeping or blowing and disposed of at no additional cost to the government. TRIMMING/EDGING: Visually prominent areas of the site must be properly trimmed and edged one (1) time per month during the growing season, or as directed by the COR. All walks, fence lines, plazas, and roadway curbs adjoining turf areas shall be cleanly edged/trimmed and consistently maintained throughout the growing season. The contract may be specifically modified in writing by the Contracting Officer (KO) for additional trimming/edging if needed. Location: Alexandra, VA 3. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: All interested firms shall submit a Capability Statement and email to theresa.m.eckstein.civ@mail.mil. Submission shall be received by 11:30 AM, Eastern Standard Time, 17 February 2017 and shall not exceed five (5) one-sided, 8-1/2 x 11 pages. This request for information is only for market research purposes. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposal nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this notice. All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from release outside the U.S. Government. No hard-copy or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Cover letters and extraneous materials (brochures, etc) will be considered.
