- Description
- Agenda for 28 Feb 2017 SEV BAA Industry Day The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Advanced Systems and Development Directorate (AD), Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, hereby issues the following special notice. Synopsis: The purpose of this announcement is to formally communicate the Government's plan to conduct a Space Enterprise Vision (SEV) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Industry Day event to provide an overview of the SEV and forthcoming BAA. Air Force Space Command is developing a new integrated SEV and associated architectures across all of its space mission areas. The US military seeks innovative concepts to preserve its asymmetrical advantage given a contested, degraded, and operationally-limited space environment. As a result, the space enterprise architecture and associated systems engineering approach will need to be more agile, flexible, responsive and modular. SMC/AD, in coordination with SMC/LE, is seeking innovative enterprise architectures (satellite, launch, and ground), new space and launch segment concepts, and ideas for prototype demonstrations to improve resiliency while maintaining affordability. The Industry Day will occur in the Titan Conference Room on the El Segundo Aerospace Campus on 28 February and 1 March, 2017. The general session will occur on 28 February, 2017, from 0800-1200 PDT, followed by one-on-one vendor discussions from 13:30-16:30 PDT, and continuing on 1 March, 2017 from 07:30-16:30 PDT. The general session will be UNCLASSIFIED and informational only. One-on-one sessions will be available at different classification levels (e.g. Unclassified, Secret and Top Secret/SCI). The industry day agenda and location of one-on-one sessions are subject to change prior to the event. The technical content discussed during the morning of the first day of the event is controlled unclassified information, Distribution C: Distribution authorized to U.S. Government Agencies and their contractors and may contain up to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Information that is restricted under ITAR and the Arms Export Control Act shall be discussed. Only DoD, NASA, and U.S. contractors who have registered with Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) to receive ITAR and Distribution Statement C restricted Scientific and Technical Information will be permitted to attend the morning session. Those interested in participating in the general industry day session should contact SMC Point of Contact (POC), 2d Lt Alex Berry, prior to 16 February, 2017, 1600 PDT. For each company requesting access, please provide a completed and certified copy of DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement for the individual's employer and a verification letter from the Data Custodian who is listed in Block 3a. stating attendee(s) are eligible to receive militarily critical technical data. Within the verification letter, please provide: each individual's name, email address, phone number, organization, date of birth, driver's license state, driver's license number, and indicate if they are a U.S. Citizen. The POC will also be able to provide the final details of how to gain access to the Aerospace Campus and where the briefings will be held. Each attendee will be required to bring a Government-issued photo ID such as a current driver's license, Common Access Card (CAC), or passport, and current proof of employment (e.g., company employee badge). Companies requesting to schedule a one-on-one session for company personnel should contact the POC for further instruction with a list of requested attendees prior to 1600 PDT on 16 February, 2017. Due to space availability, this additional briefing will be limited to three people per attending organization.
