- Amendment 0003 AMENDMENT 0003 The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) Provide answers to additional offeror Questions; 2) Close the period of requesting additional information. ANSWERS TO OFFEROR'S QUESTIONS These questions were received after the posting of amendment 2 and are highlighted in yellow. Questions 1-15 were published in amendments 1 and 2. Question16: May I confirm what the bid package shall include and the mode and method of submission? My read is the following items, by email, in PDF format. 1. Form 1449, including the Continuation Sheet 2. Solicitation information, as amended to include task #8 (~71 pages) 3. Cost price breakout 4. Narrative of capability (up to 15 pages) Answer to Question 16: Email, PDF formatted files are permitted for the signed 1449, and copies of each amendment as directed in Block 11. The technical narrative may be a PDF formatted file, so long as it is searchable. The technical narrative is limited to 15 single-sided, single-spaced, 8 ½ x 11 inch pages, with a font not smaller than 10 pts. The cost breakout (for all 8 tasks should be in an excel spreadsheet with no password protection. Question17: Will welding in accordance with MIL-STD 1689 vs. ABS requirements be acceptable for the structural welding on this contract? Answer to Question 17: The contractor will conduct welding in accordance with Reference C for Enclosures 7 and 15 (attached LARs 64PB-1702 and 64PB-1703) of Contract Solicitation 4523A-17-R-0021. The contractor will weld to the requirements specified in "Fabrication, Welding and Inspection of Small Boats and Craft, Aluminum Hulls - TO300-AU-SPN-010-A" and Navy Standard Item 009-12. The Contractor will perform welding to this standard to perform the work specified in LARs 64PB-1702 and 64PB-1703. Question18: Can you let us know the make and model of the jet drive? Answer to Question 18: The propulsion system for the SV-64 includes Hamilton 521 Jet Drives. Question19: Would you be able to let us know the specific size of the Fuel Tank Access cover? Answer to Question 18: The fuel tank opening on the SV-64 is 39 3/4" x 30 7/8." Question20: On page 15 of Amendment 0002, the solicitation limits the Technical Capability narrative to 15 pages. Does the page limit provide for any exclusions, e.g., title page, table of contents, or appendices/attachments such as Letter of Commitment and Quality Plan approval letters? Answer to Question20: The 15 total page limitation includes title pages, table of content pages, and all appendices/attachments. THE PERIOD PERMITTING REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION IS NOW CLOSED - NO NEW QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED.
