Description
Request for Information (RFI) Bi-Directional Amplifier in the 380-400 MHz range that includes a high pass filter on the return (inside to outside) path. DUE: 22 February 2017 The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 55250 is seeking information on a commercially-available Bi-Directional Amplifier (BDA) system. The BDA system will be used to boost the Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) signal within the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Regional Dispatch Center. The BDA System must be capable of the following: 1. General a. The BDA shall be wall mountable. b. The BDA shall run on 120 VAC 60 Hz power. c. The BDA shall be designed so that the interior signal is not fed back into the exterior antenna and amplified. Assume a 20 dB wall between the interior and exterior antennas and 3 dB antennas. d. The BDA shall be designed so that the exterior signal is not fed back into the interior antenna and amplified. Assume a 20 dB wall between the interior and exterior antennas. Assume a 20 dB wall between the interior and exterior antennas and 3 dB antennas. 2. Exterior to Interior amplification: a. The BDA shall boost all P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 signals between 380.0000 MHz and 388.8875 MHz. b. The gain of the BDA (not including antenna) shall be (threshold) 20 dB or (objective) adjustable between 0 dB and 20 dB. 3. Interior to Exterior amplification: a. The BDA shall boost all P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 signals between 390.0750 MHz and 400.0000 MHz. b. The gain of the BDA (not including antenna) shall be (threshold) 20 dB or (objective) adjustable between 0 dB and 20 dB. c. The BDA shall provide a (threshold) 20 dB or (objective) 70 dB rejection of a signal at 386 MHz. d. (Objective) The interior to exterior amplifier can be turned off by a technician in the field without special tools. Review of this information is being performed by SPAWARSYSCEN-Atlantic Code 55250, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validations of BDA systems to determine if the solution meets the Governments requirements. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SPAWARSYSCEN-Atlantic documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a description of features. 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SPAWARSYSCEN-LANT projects. If a SPAWARSYSCEN-LANT project requiring this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including responder surveys and focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information.
