Description

This purpose of this synopsis is to notify potential vendors of a requirement that the Louisville Kentucky, VA Medical Center has. The purpose is also to confirm the service location as Louisville Kentucky and to update the anticipated solicitation issue date. A request for quote will publicized on www.FBO.gov on or about February 10th 2017. A contractor is needed to provide valet parking services at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. The contractor will be responsible for greeting valet customers, managing claim tickets, parking vehicles, securing keys and retrieving vehicles. This contract shall be for a base period of six months with the option to extend four additional optional year periods. The contractor is to park and/or provide assistance in parking to veteran patients only, five days per week. This results in an average daily workflow of approximately 300 to 500 vehicles needing to be parked. There will be Government-provided wheelchairs available to transport patients to the clinics. The contractor will deliver these wheelchairs, upon patient's or caretaker's request, to the patient to facilitate patient's travel from the care in the valet greeting area to the appointment and back to the care in the valet greeting area. The contractor will be completely liable and responsible for providing patients with a valet claim check, securing keys, parking, delivering, and directing certain valet vehicles to and from the valet greeting area. These services shall begin on 04/01/2017.
