- RFI -- Open Skies Aircraft SUBJECT: Open Skies Treaty Mission Aircraft - Request for Information (RFI) and Industry Day Announcement 1. The intent of this RFI and Industry Day is to determine the feasibility of utilizing existing commercially available aircraft that can meet the U.S. Air Force requirement to execute the Open Skies Treaty mission. The Government requests interested parties submit capability statements of potential aircraft that can meet these requirements as described in the attached RFI, the Open Skies Treaty, and associated bilateral agreements. Vendors may also submit questions that will be answered at the Industry Day (see paragraph 5 below for additional question/response guidance). 2. An Open Skies Treaty Mission Aircraft Industry Day and One-on-One Discussions are scheduled for 23 March 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hampton-Marina (700 Settlers Landing Rd, Hampton, VA) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the Industry Day session begins at 9:00 a.m. We request you limit the number of individuals attending to a maximum of five (5) per company. 3. Following the group Industry Day session, 30-minute individual conferences will be available beginning at 12:00pm and then each subsqent 45-minute interval (e.g., 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, etc.) for those companies interested in a One-on-One discussion with the Government. Each 30-minute individual session is available by appointment on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask that you limit individual session discussions to information contained in the attached RFI. 4. All registration requests to attend the Open Skies Treaty Mission Aircraft Industry Day or to participate in a One-on-One session should be submitted via email to CAASProgramOffice@us.af.mil no later than 8 March 2017. Include "Open Skies Industry Day - Company Name" in the subject line of the email and send the full name of each individual attending with his or her contact telephone number and e-mail address as well as the events each individual will be attending (open forum and/or One-on-One, if requested). Please identify if you are requesting a One-on-One session and you will receive an email response with your scheduled time slot. The Government will only have one team available allowing for one individual session at a time, so we request your flexibility. 5. During the group Industry Day session the Government will provide information and answer questions regarding the Open Skies Treaty requirement and potential acquisition. Written questions will be accepted at Industry Day; however, government representatives may be better able to answer the questions if they are submitted prior to Industry Day. Points of origination for questions will not be made public; only the questions and responses will be discussed at Industry Day and posted to FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov upon conclusion of the event. Questions and responses shall be used as part of the Government's continuous information exchange in an effort to adequately and appropriately state the requirement for Open Skies. For all questions submitted, please note whether you want it addressed during the open Industry Day session or during your One-on-One session. Submit any questions of a proprietary nature under separate email with proprietary annotations in the subject and body of your email to preclude your question(s) and the Government's response(s) from being publicly discussed during Industry Day open forum or posted to FedBizOpps. If you would like to submit questions, please send them via email to CAASProgramOffice@us.af.mil no later than 8 March 2017. 6. If you have any difficulty emailing your requests or if clarification is necessary, please contact Mr. Samuel Wagner, Program Manager, at 757-225-2831 (email Samuel.Wagner@us.af.mil), or Mr. James Wyatt, Contracting Officer at 757-225-1898 (email James.Wyatt.11@us.af.mil).
