Description

FOE Justification & Approval This action is a modification to contract FA8771-12-D1008-0002, a competitive Firm Fixed Price Task Order awarded on 28 Jan 2013 under the NETCENTS 2 Application Services Small Business Companion Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. This is a bilateral modification to definitize and execute an extension of existing contract services for 6 months to continue the sustainment effort to the Legacy Financial Systems (LFS) Support contract under FAR clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services while a long term follow on contract can be awarded. The extension of services clause itself was included in the original solicitation documents and contract. However offerors did not include prices for the six months of service under the clause in their proposals, and so there were no prices for this clause evaluated prior to award, or written into the contract at award. The modification is requested under the authority at FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), as a sole source action in the interest of economy and efficiency as a logical follow on to an order already issued.
