- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only for the purpose of Market Research. Response to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals or quotes are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS or QUOTES and NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall NOT be construed as solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center (GVSMVAMC) in Jackson, MS, is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), but will accept other small businesses for market research purposes, capable of providing labor, equipment, and supplies to clean the vent hoods and exhausts located at the VA Medical Center. The GVSMVAMC is looking to award a base plus four option years firm-fixed contract for the period of performance beginning April 1, 2017, or from date of award, until completion of contract, to be exercised at the Government s discretion. (See below Statement of Work.) Offeror s response to this Notice shall be limited to 5 pages and shall include the following information: Offeror s company name, DUNS, Federal Tax ID, address, point of contact, title, phone number, and email address. Offeror s interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued to www.fbo.gov. Offeror s capability to meet this requirement including any current contracts (Civilian or Government). Response must show clear and convincing evidence that your company has the capabilities and qualifications to provide this service to be considered as a source. SDVOSB and VOSB shall also show evidence that they will perform 51% of the work. All parties are asked to identify any subcontractors that shall also be utilized. Offeror s type of business (small or large) and socioeconomic status whether Service Disable Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Hubzone, 8(a), Woman Owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc. If applicable, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned (VOSB) must be verified with the seal in VetBiz to be considered as a source. Same for/with subcontractor. The NAICS code 561790, Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings and the Size Standard is $7.5 million. Responses must be received by no later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, Feb. 15, 2017. Responses shall be emailed to rene.impey@va.gov using Sources Sought #VA256-17-Q-0296 in the subject line. Facsimile or Telephonic responses will not be accepted. Simply responding as an interested party in www.FBO.gov does not constitute your company as a source. Offeror must provide the above requested information by the time and date specified to be considered a source. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FedBizOps website in the near future. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.SAM.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. In addition, if you are an SDVOSB, you must be registered in VetBiz with the NAICS that is listed above. Should a solicitation be issued, the above NAICS will be utilized. STATEMENT OF WORK The Contractor shall provide service to clean the vent hoods and exhausts at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1500 E. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, MS, in accordance with all specifications, terms and conditions listed herein. MONTHLY - Service to clean the vent hoods, to include tags with the date cleaned and a report of condition for the files for the following: Canteen Kitchen Hood Systems Bistro Hood Systems Pizza Place Hood Systems MONTHLY - Clean and disinfect floors and walls in the Pizza Place Kitchen and Lobby area, Canteen Kitchen and Lobby area, Bistro Kitchen and Lobby area. MONTHLY - Clean Bistro Dishwashing Hood. MONTHLY - Service to clean the vent hoods, to include tags with the date cleaned and a report of condition for the files for the following: Nutrition & Food Service Kitchen MONTHLY - Clean oven exhaust in Nutrition & Food Service Kitchen; Clean all exhaust air ducts leading from the Nutrition and Food Service Kitchen to outside exhaust. Nutrition and Food Service Kitchen hood contains stainless steel baffle filters (32 each), nominal 20" X 20". Filters are required to be properly cleaned quarterly as part of the vent hood cleaning. Provide complete filter replacement cost to be performed on an as needed basis at the discretion of the government. Length and width of each hood: l. Canteen Kitchen: 4.5' X 20'. 2. Bistro Grill: 4.5' X 8'. 3. Pizza Place: 3' X 5'. 4. Food Service Oven: l.5' X 6'. 5. Bistro Dishwasher: 3' X 4.5'. 6. Food Service Kitchen: 12' X 30'. 7. Food Service Kitchen Hood: 4" X 6". There is one duct and one fan for each hood. All ducts go up only to roof deck above in Oven has a l5 horizontal run (8" diameter). Square footage of the floors and walls, by area, that is to be cleaned and disinfected are: Pizza Place area: 360 sq ft / 9'ceiling. Canteen Kitchen area: 1,600 sq ft / 9' ceiling. Bistro area: 350 sq ft / 9' ceiling. Work must be scheduled by calling the Administrative Officer, Facility Management Service, 601-362-4471. Work must be accomplished between the hours of 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon and 12:00 midnight on Sunday.
