Description
1.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS. The work covered by this specification consists of providing new electric personnel carts for the Ohio and Monongahela Rivers. Two different styles of carts will be needed for the rivers. Four (4) personnel models and two (2) utility models are required. Specifications for each type are as follows: 1.2 Personnel Model Similar or equal to Pack Mule PC-300 - Dual front wheels - Approximately 32 in. wide, 86.5 in long - 750 lb. deck capacity - Minimum dimensions for the rear deck: 31.5 in. wide x 19.5 in. long - 36-volt electrical system with four 6-volt batteries rated at 245 amp hr. - Regenerative Braking - Built-in 110 VAC charger - 2 passenger capacity - 16-guage diamond plated steel body - Welded steel chassis, galvanized - Fully programmable DC motor with onboard diagnostics - Horn, battery discharge indicator, and forward/reverse selector included as part of the instrumentation / accessories cluster - Tires - Soft solid 4.80 in. x 8 in. load range C tires (6 ply) - Yellow in color Each cart shall be equipped with the diagnostic tool so that the motors can be programmed and they can be diagnosed in the event of problems. 1.3 Utility Model Similar or equal to Pack Mule BC-620 - Dual from wheels - Approximately 36 in. wide, 105 in long - 2 passenger capacity - 1,000 lb. deck capacity - 2.000 lb. tow capacity - Minimum dimensions for the rear deck: 35.5 in. wide x 48 in. long - 36-volt electrical system with six (6) 6-volt batteries rated at 245 amp hr. - Regenerative Braking - Built-in 110 VAC charger - 16-guage diamond plated steel body - Welded steel chassis, galvanized - Protected accelerator module - Horn, battery discharge indicator, and forward/reverse selector included as part of the instrumentation / accessories cluster - Tires - Soft solid 4.80 in. x 8 in. load range C (6 ply) - Yellow in color Each cart shall be equipped with the diagnostic tool so that the motors can be programmed and they can be diagnosed in the event of problems. 2.0 SUBMITTALS. The vendor is required to submit two copies of the Operation and Maintenance Manual along with a Spare Parts List to Locks and Dams Branch. 3.0 TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. Technical questions may be directed to Mr. Jason Prince at telephone 412-395-7679 during normal business hours. 4.0 WARRANTY. The personnel carts shall have a three (3) year manufacturer's warranty. 5.1 DELIVERY. The personnel carts shall be crated, boxed, or otherwise packaged to the extent necessary to prevent damage during shipment. Any damage to the carts due to inadequate protection during shipment shall be repaired by the vendor at their own expense. 5.2 Time of Delivery. The Government requires delivery of the personnel carts within 60 days after the date of contract award. 5.3 Place of Delivery. The personnel carts supplied under this contract shall be delivered F.O.B. destination, transportation charges prepaid, to: U.S. Army Engineer District, Pittsburgh Locks and Dams Branch 3900 Grand Avenue, BLDG 1002 Pittsburgh, PA 15225-1512 ATTN: Mark Ivanisin Telephone 412-395-7652 Shipments are received between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded. The vendor must notify Locks and Dams Branch at least 48 hours prior to the delivery.
